Corrections Policy

Accuracy is an ongoing responsibility. We correct material mistakes clearly and as quickly as the facts allow.

Report an error

Email curious@age.house or use our contact form and select “Correction.” Include the article URL, the statement you believe is wrong, supporting evidence, and your contact details if you are available for follow-up.

How we review reports

An editor checks the original reporting and relevant primary sources, contacts people involved when appropriate, and determines whether the article needs a correction, clarification, or update. We acknowledge credible reports and prioritize errors that could materially mislead readers about health, safety, research, people, or organizations.

How changes are labeled

  • Correction: fixes a factual error in the published article.
  • Clarification: adds context where accurate wording could still be misunderstood.
  • Update: adds material new information that became available after publication.

Material changes receive a visible note explaining what changed and an updated timestamp. We do not silently rewrite substantive errors. Minor spelling, punctuation, formatting, or link repairs that do not change the meaning may be fixed without a note.

Original publication dates

The original publication date remains attached to the story. A separate “Updated” time records material revisions so readers and news services can distinguish the original report from later changes.
